Press Releases

ACT Government ensures a safe landing

The Club has its roots in both the Burns Rowing Club and the Telopea Park High School Rowing Club, both of which were formed in 1964, soon after the Lake filled. Club membership is open to all and it is the second-largest community rowing club in Canberra.
The Club facilities are on the Black Mountain Pensinsula and it is the closest club, along with the adjoining Radford and Daramalan Club House, to the 1800 metre competition course. While club members regularly compete in events, it is entirely a matter of choice for individuals with many members choosing to row only socially. If you are interested in rowing in Canberra, we would love to see you.
Learn to row
Our Learn To Row program consists of five 2 hour lessons and costs only $130.00. If you decide to join the Club, this fee forms part of the membership fee. The 2008-09 LTR program is now fully subscribed and no bookings are being taken for next year's program at this time.
